This was a really good situation. The rooms our friends and us had were the superior ones which were high up away from any traffic noise. Our room was a little 'tired' and in need of minor repairs to the bedhead and the minibar door. The automatic inventory idea on the minibar resulted in us being charged for an item we hadn't had. We had no problem sorting this out with reception. (Seemed like a regular problem) Phil, the concierge, was extremely helpful and very welcoming. We were really glad we chose this hotel

The reception area wasnt as impresive but you dont sleep in there, definately stay here again,

My boyfriend is from California and had never been to the city before and I have been to the city several times before. I booked this hotel so he could have a great time, and we did! This hotel is about 15 steps from the center of Times Square. The front desk was SO friendly (Melanie especially) and our room was clean with a great view of the city! A lot of people say the rooms are small, but we booked a king size bed for us and the room itself had a flat screen tv, two BIG leather chairs, tons of room, and a big bathroom. We had our clothes and suitcases and everything thrown throughout the room and we still had plenty of room. The hotel set up car service for us and anything we needed they arranged. I really loved the hotel, I was pleasantly surprised, and it made me look good getting this hotel for him! The price was great too. I'd love to stay here again.

This was very convenient for the locations I needed to be in NYC for this weekend. There are two 'parts' to this hotel - so if you go in the main lobby - you were then directed to walk down a long hallway - past an old theatre that now serves as a conference center and into the second section of hotel. Not very convenient for someone with a herniated disc after a long trip with heavy luggage. The staff were very pleasant and helpful once I got to the 'right' side. My room was everything you need - including a separte sofa and sitting area if you wanted to sit and watch TV rather than watch from bed. If you do not need to be near Times Square, however, the crowds at night and difficulty 'getting' around even on foot can be an inconvenience.

I had sought out a Hotel in NYC that still had smoking rooms. Although check-in time was 4pm I was able to check-in to my room at 11:30am! The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The room was surprisingly very large and clean. Although it was a smoking room, it showed and the furniture and decor were in need of updating. My mini-bar was missing a couple of items which I immediately reported and was not charged for. My only complaint was I wish there would have been a coffeemaker. Overall, I was very satisfied with the hotel and room.

OK, the room was very clean, and the staff was very friendly. However, for the money they charge, you would expect near perfection. It wasn't. The ice machine on our floor didn't work for the 3 days we were there. There was no shower cap provided. Lesser priced hotels have one included. We brought 2 cans of sparkling water and placed them in mini-bar refridgerator. They were gone the next day. If we weren't allowed to chill them, just take the cans out and place them on the table. We'll get our own ice, even if we have to go to another floor.

When we arrived they gave us a free upgrade to the "premire" section of the hotel. While the room was spacious and clean there was no view to speak of. It didn't matter much as we were not in the room much. The hotel is excelently located for times square walking (half a block)and for the theatres (gershwin 6 blocks and many others closer) The only issue we had with the room was that the bathroom light was not working when we arrived. It was fixed immediatly after we called the front desk. P.S. the bed was extreamly comfortible. I slept from 1am untill 11 am. I never sleep that late ever.

The hotel is in a great location, the rooms are nice and clean. Even though time square is bright and load they did a good job with the curtains for blocking out light and for the most part noise. The theatre desk was amazingly helpful and the lady working there really seemed to care and know her stuff. My big complaint was they told people to come check in/get keys between 2 and 4 pm. We got there at 2:30 pm to pick up our key, having already checked in at 10 am that morning and there was a HUGE line to check in. They had only one person working the counter (there had been 3 that morning at 10 am) and 8 groups wanted to check in. They should know that if they are having people check in between 2-4 pm that they need more people at the desk then. I think what bugged me more is that even though the line was long, they still didn't bring out more people until about 20 minutes later. This might have been just an odd one experience but just don't be prepared for a fast check in.

The room was good size and clean but the smoke smell was overpowering... We booked for a second night, they put us in a non smoking room then, but now there is confusion on if i paid through the website or not. They charge my card anyway until we can figure it out. I am still waiting for Hotels.com to help me clear this up, 4 days later. Still it was a good hotel, staff was great, rooms were spacious...stay away from the smoking rooms.

The hotel is less than half a block off of Times Square, which was fantastic. The room was enough room for two adults, but with our two large bags there was not a lot of additional space. The beds were not the most comfortable, but not intolerable for a short stay either. The staff was courteous, although the concierge gave us incorrect directions and having a mini-fridge delivered to our room took almost an hour. Overall, not the most plush experience I've had in a NYC hotel, but for two people at a reasonable price and at a great location, I would stay there again.
