Lebua is well worth the money. Location is ok, premises are very good and staff is very helpful. They upgraded my room without a request. As I stayed there alone, I would not have needed 2 tvs in my room. :) Of course there are cheaper accomodations in Bangkok, but if you want to stay in excellent hotel, this is a perfect choice. My room was in 57th floor and views from balcony were very good. Only things I would change, are that bath is a bit small for my length (190 cm) and that shower height should also be adjustable. But this is same for almost every hotel where I have been in Thailand. Location is good, as walk to skytrain is quite easy. Distance to BTS is about same as hotels in Sukhumvit's soi 15 and 18. And it's good that Concierge makes taxis to use meter, so you don't have to argue with them about this.

Lebua is great in terms of opulent relaxtion. The rooms are lovely, with Bulgari freebies in the bathroom and beds that big you could fit a whole town in. The bars in the hotel are wicked in terms of design and uniqueness (is that a word?) and its situated right at the end of Silom road, near the river...only 10 minutes tuk-tuk away from Siam and Patpong. The bad news is that is MEGA expensive! £7 for a local beer....£20 for a sandwich with fries. It wouldn't seem so expensive if you weren't in Bangkok where can usually pick up a Singha beer for about a £1. Great to go for one night....or even lots of nights...if you're loaded!

Our main complaint about this hotel was the pushiness og the staff. If you asked the maid to come later please, they never came back and were obviously upset that you even considered asking them to come another time. In the overpriced dining room (breakfact and lunch only) the servers comtinually interefered trying to force irems on me that I repeatedly said I did not want ("But sir, it comes with the meal"). Frankly I can carry my own plate from the buffet, and I certinly can push the button in the elevator.

She then took us up to our suite and explained the various facilities before leaving us. The suite was very large and immaculate. Complimentary chocs and flowers. We had a one night stop-over at Lebua on our way to Koh Samui. We experienced the simplest check-in ever , upon arrival we were welcomed and seated briefly in the reception area, very quicky ushered to our room where the check-in was conducted, it was very quick, relaxed and hassle-free. We felt this was a huge plus point after a long journey and a very welcome start to our holiday. We enjoyed a spectacular view of Bangkok at night in the Sky bar before a fantastic meal in the open air dining area - Sirocco. The food and service given was excellent but the bill was very high for comparative Thai prices however we felt it was worth the experience and it made the first night of our holiday feel 'very special' The room was very comfortable, lovely very generous sized bathroom. The bed and pillows felt like 'home' so we also enjoyed a good nights sleep. We took breakfast in the stunning Mozu floor which was decorated in a lovely Byzantine style in beautiful bright colours, our breakfast was very good and enjoyed near the poolside edge. Our only regret was not being able to enjoy the Hotel for a little longer. We would happily return to the Lebua again.

My husband and I loved this hotel. It totally exceeded our expectations! It is very modern in style. The staff in the hotel were amazing...and very polite with good English language skills. They offered excellent advice/tips when we were leaving on day excursions and had geniune concern for us and our safety when out and about in Bangkok. They always wanted to know our names in person and always offered their names in return! Upon arrivial we had our own concierge. The beds were firm for US standards(usual for Thailand) but actually very comfortable. Views from this hotel were breath taking we were allowed out on to the balcony of our room providing we signed a safety waiver (we got great pictures!) Pool doesn't get much sun but the gym was great! They also allowed us to shower in the gym after check out to freshen up before our long flight home! They were organized and we felt comfortable leaving our luggage at the hotel for safe keeping after check out and before our flight. The location is good just a few blocks to the ferry terminal that takes you to many major attractions in Bangkok. there is a permanent supply of tuk tuks and taxis out side the hotel!!Try to always use a metered taxi only! Starbucks lovers can rejoice as there is one on the ground level of the tower! It is a block from a department store (carries clothes, make up and electronics)Also close to a great bakery, convience store, small market, cheap good Thai food, Macdonalds and Pizza. This hotel is a little drive from the aiport. You can get their by bus for about $1.60 pp. We paid $10us for a taxi on the way there amd $6 for a metered taxi back to the airport (wedid pay additional $3us for highway fairs.) Organise this in advance for your way home!!! we stayed in a Delux suite which was very spacious with bedroom and living area. 2 TV's, small kitchen area,a lot of closet room and a great bathroom with tub and separate shower! we requested the 57th floor for the views! We stayed at the lebua for 5 days in a riverview suite. The suite was very nice but overall we werent impressed. Lobby is essentially a desk and some nice chairs, upon arrival we were asked to PAY a deposit of £200.00 which we would receive back which was unusual. The one or 2 bars were not for relaxing, they were pretentious and massively overpriced, e.g. £7.50 for a beer or £15 for a glass of wine. The sky bar was simply awful, a crush of outside visitors, service terrible and rude, drinks even more expensive. Main meals i n the restaraunt were £25.00 to £60.00 each, although the location is beautiful. With all of the outside guests, the lifts to the room took an age to come, with visitors flying up to the sky bar before coming straight back down after one token drink. The pool was nice, although didnt receive virtually any sunshine. The gym was excellent. The location is not great either, there is very little around the hotel, its certainly not the "centre" although transport links via river or skytrain are good. Overall, ok for business, not pleasant for leisure travelers.

Plus the staff ushered us away from the bar where the drinks vouchers could be used, which I felt was a bit off. Room service was good value.
