This is an amazing hotel. The view is the best on the island (and that is saying something on Santorini). As amazing as the hotel is the best part is the staff. They far and away exceed expectations of helpfulness.

Basically, you're living in a cave. If you go with that mindset, you'll absolutely love this place. The rooms are carved out of rock, and therefore, don't allow any heat in, so they're cold. You have to switch on the hot water before a shower, and when you do it doesn't last long. The place is completely unique, and you can't beat the view of the ocean and the white-washed buildings surrounding you. Most of all, the service was outstanding. They treat you like an honored guest - anything you need they're on it. All hours. Even if you don't need it, they'll give it to you - homemade brownies, glass of wine, advice on where to go and how to get there, call the airlines for you, arrange for a scooter or car to be dropped at the hotel.

A very different kind of a hotel. Our Studio/room had a private balcony overlooking the Aegean sea with views of Oia village and the volcano. Rooms were very comfortable with a queen bed and a twin bed. Since we travelled with our 2 kids (6 & 1), the hotel staff provided a crib. The decor of the room has a romantic feel to it with candles all around. The rooms are very spacious. Since we travelled with our 1yr old, we made good use of the kitchennete. The best thing about the hotel was the staff, esp the hotel manager, Yiota and her assistant, Yanis. A tourist in Greece is treated like royalty by the Greek people but in this hotel the service was exceptional. There are a lot of steps in the hotel but Yiota and Yannis made sure that we didn't have to carry even the diaper bag up and down. Our luggage was picked up by Yannis at the hotel door and brought to the room and same while going back. I will recommend this hotel to anybody travelling with kids. For the honeymooners, I would recommend staying in the suites, although studios also have a romantic feel but the suites are just out of this world. The breakfast is ok but the best part is that you get to eat it in a cave like restaurant or you could order it to your room and have it in the balcony while enjoying the amazing views.

L'emplacement de l'hôtel et la vue qu'on a des chambres est superbe, mais la décoration intérieure est très (trop?) basique pour le prix: literie inconfortable, salle de bains spartiate, ...
